RPG

The land at Culham forms part of the strategic allocation STRAT9, which is expected to deliver 3,500 homes and 7.3 hectares of employment land in combination with the adjacent Culham Science Centre. Rovia acts as strategic transport advisor to RPG in relation to the commercial element of the scheme, which comprises approximately 120,000 sqm of science, research and innovation floorspace. It will build upon the existing strengths of the Science Centre and create a world-class employment destination.

A key challenge has been demonstrating how a development of this scale can be accommodated sustainably within the local and strategic transport networks while supporting the ambitions of the wider masterplan.

Working alongside the existing transport consultant, David is providing strategic direction on transport matters, helping to shape solutions to issues raised by Oxfordshire County Council. This included developing a clear movement strategy focused on sustainable travel, strengthening connections to public transport, active travel and the wider science campus, and ensuring that transport infrastructure supports both the commercial aspirations of the scheme and the long-term growth objectives of the allocation.
