Rovia has been appointed by Lovell Partnerships Limited to provide transport planning advice in support of an outline planning application for residential development at Land off Station Road, Fernhill Heath, Worcestershire. The application proposes up to 140 new homes across two parcels of land (Fernhill East and Fernhill West), with all matters reserved except for access.
Rovia developed the proposed access strategy to serve both residential parcels including the provision of new footways and a pedestrian crossing. The access strategy also proposed the extension of the 30mph speed limit to the north of the Site boundary.
The proposed new footways will link the Site to the existing day-to-day facilities within Fernhill Heath, which include a primary school, convenience stores and regular bus services connecting Worcester and Droitwich Spa.
Rovia prepared a comprehensive sustainable transport strategy which included footway and cycling improvements on Station Road, reinstatement of a bus stop, electric vehicle charging points, a car club bay, and a Draft Travel Plan. Contributions to public transport improvements are to be agreed with Worcestershire County Council.
A planning application was submitted to Wychavon District Council in April 2026.
