Much Wenlock, Shropshire

Lovell Strategic Land

Rovia is advising Lovell Strategic Land on the promotion of land south of Bourton Road, Much Wenlock, for a residential-led development of approximately 150 homes, 30% of which will be affordable. The site represents a logical extension to the existing settlement and is being brought forward to support local housing needs, including the delivery of affordable homes, public open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure.

Rovia is providing strategic transport planning advice to demonstrate that the site can be sustainably integrated with the existing town, benefiting from proximity to local shops, services, schools and community facilities. The project places a strong emphasis on promoting active travel, improving pedestrian connectivity and supporting access to public transport, helping to reduce reliance on private vehicles and create a well-connected extension to the community.

The proposals also present opportunities to deliver wider infrastructure benefits, including enhancements to pedestrian routes and measures that contribute to flood alleviation and environmental improvements. Through a collaborative approach, the scheme seeks to provide much-needed housing in a sustainable location while supporting the long-term vitality of Much Wenlock and its local services.

A planning application will be submitted in Q4 2026.
