Rovia staff supported Nutfield Park Developments for its scheme of 166 residential units and 111 care beds on grey belt land north of the A25 in Nutfield.
Mitigation included a £4 million contribution towards the extension of the Surrey Digital Demand Responsive Transport service, £2 million towards amendments to the NCR 21 cycleway between Nutfield and Redhill, extension of the 30 mph zone on the A25 towards Redhill, lining amendments at the Mid Street/A25 junction and two signal-controlled crossings on the A25. Although full agreement was reached with highways officers at Surrey CC, the application was refused and included a transport related reason, stating that the development is not located in a sustainable location.
An appeal to the Tandridge decision was allowed by PINS and Rovia was appointed to provide transport and highways expert witness evidence at a Planning Inquiry in March 2026 which was successful.
Rovia Directors were involved in the production of transport documents a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan as part of the application in 2023.
