River Burton

Principal Transport Planner

As a Principal Transport Planner based in London, River has over eight years' experience delivering transport planning solutions across the UK. His experience spans a wide range of residential schemes of fewer than 50 homes to large mixed-use communities exceeding 1,000 dwellings. He also advises national logistics and warehouse operators, supporting operational expansion across multiple regions.

Typically engaged from the feasibility stage, River provides early guidance on access arrangements, sustainability, and density considerations to inform masterplanning and site viability.

With extensive experience in securing planning consent for vision-led residential and commercial developments, he has supported projects through all stages of the planning process, including Local Plan promotion (Regulation 18 and Regulation 19), and is instrumental in preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and highway design.
